One Bowl Chocolate Brownies

This is the easiest one bowl chocolate brownies recipe – courtesy of my mum! They’re so quick to make and they always go down a storm!

This recipe makes a really moist, chewy brownie and gives the ultimate crinkle finish to the top – a must have for any decent brownie in my books!

Ingredients


 250 g Unsalted Butter
 400 g Caster Sugar
 100 g Light Brown Sugar
 100 g Cocoa Powder
 220 g Eggs
 100 g Self Raising Flour
 ½ tsp Salt

Method

Add the butter, cocoa, sugar and salt to a bowl and melt it over a pan of gently simmering water.

Remove it from the heat and whisk in the eggs one at a time until smooth.

Sift in the flour and fold it through with a spatula.

Pour the mixture into an 8” square greased and lined tin and bake at 180C for around 35 minutes. A skewer should still be slightly wet when you poke it in.

Let the brownies cool slightly in the tin then lift them out of the tin and then chill them in the fridge for a few hours. Trim off the edges with a hot knife then serve them at room temperature.
